Sooner or later we all discover
that the important moments in life
are not those announced,
not birthdays, graduations, weddings,
not the great goals achieved.
The real milestones are less pretentious.
They arrive at the door of the memory
without being announced,
stray dogs that enter,
sniff a little 'around and just do not go anymore.
Our lives are measured by these moments.
