to put a motor to a boat ...
you have to measure,

balance ...
... and put everything in motion.

But for that,
one has to carry in the soul
a little marine ...
a bit of a pirate ...
a bit of a poet ...
and a pound and a half of concentrated patience.

But it is comforting to dream
while one works,
Dream that ship
will carry our burden of words
to distant posts, to distant islands.

Dream that when one day
Let our own boat be sleeping,
In new boats our flag will be raised.
