11 Signs You're Actually In Love

Read this if you're currently feeling all the feelings…and you're not sure what they are.

It's hard to tell sometimes if it's just the amazing sex, a bout of temporary insanity, or legitimate love, right? Because, let's be real, sometimes they can all look pretty similar. Here are a few signs that it's really, actually, definitely love:

1. You check out the latest "Sexiest Man Alive" and you're all like, meh. Sure, he's handsome and talented and great and all, but…you have eyes on one person and one person only right now.

2. Not only do you agree to participate in his favorite activity (which you normally hate), but you actually kind of look forward to it. Touch football on a freezing Sunday in the park at dawn sounds kind of fun and adventurous, doesn't it? No? Anyone?

3. You get super-defensive when your BFF is anything less than totally positive about him. Um, no, he does NOT seem "a little laid back," OKAY? What does that even mean, anyway? He's brilliant and amazing and totally going places! Now let's order brunch.

4. You're pretttty sure all the positive songs on the radio are about you. Why yes, yes, my boy does indeed like a little more bootie to hold at night! And what's that? All my curves AND all my edges? Why, thank you!

5. Meanwhile, all the sad songs inspire nothing but pity and just a wee bit of smugness. Poor Taylor, still not out of the woods yet…been there, girl! That's right, shake it off!

6. You log on to Facebook and realize with a shock that you haven't checked in on ANY of your back burner guys in months.Not even that one old friend from high school who is pretty hot and always up for some flirty chatting. Nope. And what's more? You don't want to.

7. You find a way to bring him up at lunch, in a meeting, at your dermatologist appointment.... Like, always. Because everything reminds you of something he said or did or smelled like. Did we mention he had a really cute dog that ran away when he was 12 and…sorry, what were we talking about?

8. You find yourself smiling at odd—and often inappropriate—times. Like this morning during your boss's big "budget" talk. And when you stopped for gas. Oh, and in line at the DMV. That was weird.

9. Thinking about your lying, cheating ex no longer inspires anything but the mildest annoyance. In fact, you no longer wish him and his lying, cheating new girlfriend a horrible, painful, and publicly humiliating incident. (Okay, maybe you still sort of hope they both contract some itchy, unpleasant, chronic face rash, but that's it. Really. Progress!)

10. You find the way he leaves the toothpaste cap off all the time kind of adorable. Sure, it makes it a little crusty and gross, but you know, in a really endearing way. Right…?

11. You actually almost blurted it out once or twice. Like when he told you he found your favorite show on Netflix or when he initiated morning sex on a random Wednesday. Your were this close to word-vomiting the L word. Yep, you're in love.
