🌺💙Today,
all of a sudden,
the memories that I had hidden among the seas of my heart returned.
They needed to breathe by taking the air away from me.
Memories of humiliations…
gestures and words that the world must not know.
They surprised me.
They didn't hurt me.
I looked at them with the proud face of someone who has gone through hell alone:
a destination decided by others,
a return trip chosen by me.
I hated them for erasing who I was.
I thanked them for the same reason.
All it took was a song and a hint of heaven.
Like the days when I didn't see.
I loved and did not understand.
I died and did not live.
I promised myself rebirth.
I created it and raised it in the void that became space.
I live it every day
as if it were the first.
As if it were eternal.
Today,
all of a sudden,
the memories came back to you.
To show me how I was.
To remind me how I won't be...
