Judge others by judging yourself.
The nature of things is your nature.
Breathe, undress,
make love to your convictions,
don't limit yourself to smile
when you don't know what else to say.
Your teeth
they are washed, your hands are kind
but you lack
decision in steps and firmness in gestures.
Look for yourself. Try to find yourself before
grab the voracity of time.
Do things with passion.
A restless passion that doesn't give you rest
and make your breath ache.
Inhale the air, drink it hard, it's yours,
not a cent will pay for it.
How much you owe is life, what you owe is yourself.
Sing.
Sing the water and the mountain and the neck of the river,
and the kiss you gave and the kiss you will give, sing
the sweet work of the bee and patience
with which trees grow,
sing every moment you share with friends,
and every friend
like a star that rises
in the brief firmament of your body.
And sing love. And sing whatever you have reason to sing.
And what you don't know and what you don't understand, sing.
Do not run from joy.
Pain itself helps you measure
the happiness. Carry on your shoulders the past centuries
and the centuries to come,
much of the dust you shake was once life,
perhaps beauty, pride, pieces of pleasure.
The star you contemplate may no longer exist, who knows,
what helped you to be the life of how many lives you needed.
Sing!
If you're afraid, sing.
But if there is no joy in you, don't stop singing.
Sing. Sing. Sing. Sing. Sing.
Build your love, live your love,
love your love. Of everything that people want,
what they want most is love.
Without it, nothing was ever the same, nothing is the same,
nothing will ever be the same.
Sing. While you wait, sing.
Sing when you don't want to wait.
Sing if you don't find any more hope.
And sing when hope finds you.
Sing because you feel like singing and
because you like to sing and
because you feel you have to sing.
And sing when you don't have to.
Sing because you're free.
And sing if you lack freedom.
