You know there was a time when my heart knew only walls, very high barriers, impassable mountains; then you arrived and everything changed.
It happened one night when I didn't know; I looked inside and you were there with me, right there in my most beautiful part, the one I had never shown to anyone. And that's when I thought about building that door, so that you could use it whenever you wanted.
I did it just for you, and for who else?
Even though I knew you wouldn't need it: after all you were already inside, you always have been.
I know that I have no barriers to hold you back, and that any battle to keep you out is lost.
As I know that you are what I am looking for to find myself, and that it is in your smile that I always listen to the echo of my heart.
How nice to have finally met you, even in this life as in those that preceded it, as in those yet to come.
Because every time, every life, my heart, is nothing more for me than a road that leads me to you.
