Mainly of elegant gender and orientalist themes.

His artistic training began in brescia under the guide of Luigi Campini and continued later in Milan at the accademia di brera with eleuterio pagliano, being alienated by gender paintings, remaining oblivious to the most modern movements of his time.

The production of Achille Glisenti was soon distinguished by his great technical and executive quality, which made him one of the most important authors of the th century in brescia, and perhaps the only one, in this environment, to approach the realistic painting with a Social background.

The Painter's themes follow two forms, one in an academic style takes scenes of elegance lounge or genre orientalist and the other, more spontaneous, when he uses a faster and sincere painting, in vivid portraits or rural sketches. When he went to Florence, he opened an antique store and continued painting with his usual crafts, traditional and detailed gender scenes in costumes of the xvii and xviii centuries, Oriental Paintings, which were the pleasure of the Anglo-Saxon market or, inspired by topics of his Time, nice compositions with original characters.

When he came in contact with the Tuscan Chiappi, he felt a strong influence: while he remained faithful to the canons for those who had been educated, he tested the brush stroke, the open air and the greatest variety of reasons, acquiring a greater brand at least On the themes.

Achille Glisenti, a punctual interpreter within the limits of an academic tradition that suggested a precise perspective and colorful coordinates, never left the realization of Lombardo Naturalism., but the Tuscan chiappi taught him to pass from chiaroscuro to the effect of real light.
