🌿Could I be the pearly shell,
That, between corals and algae, the infinite
Ocean Mansion Dwells,
And sleep reclining
On the soft bed of golden sands ...
Were it the shell and, O sea pearl!
You were my only treasure,
Mine, only mine!
Ah! with what love, in the undulating
Lap of water transparent and clear,
What a joy, daughter, what a yearning
I had tightened the nacre valves,
To keep you throbbing
Deep in my bosom!🌾🌼🌸🌺🥀
