Arrogance Of The Authority (權力的傲慢)
A DEA officer stopped at a ranch in Texas and talked with an old rancher.
一位DEA（美國聯邦緝毒總署）的官員停在德州的一個牧場和一個年邁的牧場主人說話。
He told the rancher, “I need to inspect your ranch for illegally grown drugs.”
他告訴這個牧場主人：「我要檢查你的牧場，看看有沒有非法種植的毒品。」
The rancher said, “Okay, but don’t go in that field over there…” and he pointed the location.
牧場主人說：「好的！不過不要去牧場的那邊…..」他的手指向那個地方。
The DEA officer verbally exploded saying, “Mister, I have the authority of Federal Government with me!”
這位 DEA 的官員大聲的說：「先生！我有聯邦政府的授權！」
Reaching into his rear pants pocket, he removed his badge and proudly displayed it to the rancher.
然從他的後口袋中掏出他的徽章，驕傲的展現給這個老人看。
“See this badge! This badge means I am allowed to go wherever I wish… on any land!!”
「看到這個徽章沒？這個徽章代表著，我可以到任何我想要到的地方去… 在任何的土地上。」
“No questions asked and answers given!! Have I made myself clear?!”
「不得有任何疑問或拒絕！！我說的夠清楚了嗎？！」
The rancher nodded politely, apologized and went about his chores.
這主人禮貌的點點頭，道歉，然後走開幹自己的活去了。
A short time later, the old rancher heard loud screams, looked up and saw the DEA officer running for his life, being chased by the rancher’s big Santa Gertrudis bull….
隔沒多久，這個老牧人聽到大聲的慘叫，抬頭看去，只見這位DEA的官員正被這個牧場的一頭 Santa Gertrudis 公牛追趕，正沒命的奔逃著…
With every step, the bull was gaining ground on the officer, and it seemed likely that he’d sure enough get gored before he reached safety. The officer was clearly terrified.
公牛愈追愈近，眼看牛角就要頂到這位官員！官員顯然是嚇壞了。
The ranger threw down his tools, ran to the fence and yelled at the top of his lungs….
老牧人丟下他的工具，跑到柵欄邊，使出他吃奶的力氣大叫道…
“Your badge, show him your badge….!”
「你的徽章，給它看你的徽章…」
